Job Title: RN OR/Surgery
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Operating Room/Surgery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients in the operating room setting.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preparing patients for surgery and assisting with the positioning on the operating table
- Assisting the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, suturing, and providing support as needed
- Monitoring patients closely for any changes in condition and responding promptly to any emergencies
- Administering medications and maintaining accurate documentation of patient care
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to provide high-quality care
- Educating patients and their families on post-operative care and expectations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room/Surgery setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
